Reading to babies starting from an early age has many positive effects on not only their development, it is a great bonding experience for caregiver and baby!
The problem is there are SO MANY amazing (and less amazing) books out there, it can be hard to pick the right books for your babies first library. And while checking out books from your neighborhood library is a lovely experience for everyone, it can be hard to get there in the first few weeks or months of having a newborn.
Best Baby Shower Gift For First Time Parent
We love giving books to new parents with a handwritten message to parents and baby inside the book cover! This is a great way to show your support for the family, and also a lovely reminder to new parents they have a great support network behind them (when sometimes it can be easy to forget that fact).
Building Your Newborns First Library
Our postpartum doula team put together this book of books they have loved reading to their client’s babies and to their own babies over the years. We hope this gives you a starting place as your building your registry wish list and your baby’s first library.
