This support can be in whatever way you need: emotional support, help with meal planning and prep, light housework, helping with older children, and even coming with you to appointments to be another set of ears to be sure no important information is missed!
So you are probably wondering how exactly does an antepartum doula differ from a birth doula and a postpartum doula?
They are similar in a doula provides nonjudgmental support to pregnant and newly postpartum individuals and their families, but the difference is where the main focus of our support is directed. For our birth doula clients, they can expect the 24/7 access prior to birth with two pre natal appointments and continuous birth support. Our postpartum doula clients are getting our support at their home, in blocks of time, after the baby is born.
The antepartum doula support still has the 24/7 support and team of doulas all of our clients expect, but also the blocks of uninterrupted face to face support while still pregnant. Much like our postpartum clients, we have packages available so that you know you will receive exactly the right amount of interaction with our compassionate and certified birth doulas. Plus, you get knowledgable birth experts and professional postpartum experts in your home to help you prepare for what is to come.
