We are excited to officially announce…
Carolina Birth and Wellness has brought two International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) onto our team to provide Lactation Support to our clients and community!
This has been a pipe dream of ours for awhile now, and we finally have made it a reality. We feel like our team of lactation consultants will be a great addition to the support we already provide our birth and postpartum doula clients!
In-Home Lactation Consultations
Our lactation consultants travel to you throughout the Triangle. This means that you do not need worry about packing up the diaper bag, getting everyone in the car, not forgetting something important, or even putting a bra! After all, that is why we are seeing you, so why even wear one?
In-Office Lactation Consultations
If traveling to our office in South Durham is easier, or your IBCLC recommends a weighted feeding for weight growth, our office may be an option for you. Conveniently located in Southpoint area, your IBCLC can help you on your lactation journey.
Team Approach
With having two lactation consultants, we have a built in back up support. Just like with our postpartum doulas, having a team approach means that you are not without support. Especially as we enter the winter months and flu season, hopefully at least one lactation is feeling top notch to visit you! (And don’t worry, we would never send a sick provider!)
Another great benefit of the team approach is that the lactation consultants can bounce ideas off of each other for tougher cases. So while you will only see one IBCLC at a time, you will know there is a second one supporting you and your journey.
Payment Options
We work with The Lactation Network to provide insurance covered lactation visits at no charge to you. You can check your coverage online, and if you are out of network, you can use HSA/FSA card, or request a Superbill for insurance reimbursement.
Unbiased Support
Our IBCLCs are trained in breastfeeding support, but that does not mean that that is the only knowledge they have. They will help you reach your breastfeeding goals, whatever those goals are. So you can be sure that you are being supported every step of the way.
